Ye Shengtao (1894-1988), Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China’s modern well-known writer and educator. From his youth, Ye Shengtao actively participated in the May 4th Movement. In the early 1920s, he was associated with Lu Xun and Mao Dun and from Qing, Zheng Zhen-bei and Bing Xin.
