“洞”、“淫”、“纯”、“精”及“海”等均可作极性程度副词,修饰形容词或者动词表示性状的程度深。它们的名词本义中均合有表示“超出一般”的“大”的源义素,当“大”义凸显时,它们引中为形容词,而当具有“大”义的形容词位于动词或者形容词前充当状语时,形容词“大”之语义得到凸颞而向程度副词演变,它们都经历了一个从名词到形容词再到程度副词的演变过程。常用词虚化之后,并不一定像其实词义一样常用,有的会得到继承,有的会走向衰亡。
