素有“飞旋世界魔球”之称的网球运动,是一项高尚而优雅的体育运动。它起源于法国,至今已有700多年的历史。19世纪后期传入中国。1953年开始,网球被正式列为全国参赛项目之一。近几年来,中国的网球事业迅猛发展,成绩显著提高,运动员日趋职业化。同时,群众性网球运动蓬勃发展起来,特别是近几年来,电视媒体对四大公开赛的现场报道和各种国际性网球赛事活动在北京及其他城市的成功举办,激起了广大群众的浓厚兴趣。网球运动不但具有运动性、对抗性,还具有艺术性。其优美矫健的姿态,敏捷快速的步伐,使观赏者心旷神怡……
