中国国土辽阔、历史悠久、民族众多,各地地理环境、气候、资源和习俗存在着很大的差别,这就意味着与人们生活息息相关的民居各式各样、异彩纷呈。在这片呈现出多种地貌特征的豫西黄土高原地区,广泛地分布着生土窑洞这种独具特色的民居建筑。在开阔的河岸地区和河沟台地,在黄土沟壑两侧如串珠般地密布着窑洞村落,形成绝佳的民居生态聚落环境。例如,
