倾斜中厚以下矿体,在我国冶金、化工矿山占有相当比重。解放三十多年来,虽然对该类矿体开采取得了许多经验,但出存在不少问题。如当顶板管理不善时,人员在空场下作业不但安全性差,而且由于顶板冒落会造成大量的损失和贫化。针对上述问题,广大采矿人员先后作了不少工作,研究并采用了一些措施,如在采场中留些不规则或规则自然矿柱;加设人工混凝土矿柱;局部采用术立柱和木垛来支撑顶板等,已满足了一部分矿体的开采要求,取得了一定效果。但也还存在一些问题,如采用留规则或不规则自然矿柱支撑顶板时,势必造成矿石大量损失,浪费国家资源,同时给采场出矿带来不便;用人工混凝土矿柱来代替自然
