罗田天堂寨位于湖北省罗田县大别山国家森林公园东北、大别山主峰南麓的天堂山。境内的天堂森林公园最高处1729.13米,即大别山主峰天堂寨,素有中原第一峰之美称,更具有“一峰跨两省三县”的特殊地理位置,安徽金寨县、湖北罗田县、英山县两省三县交界处,山脊为界,以北为金寨,东南为英山,西南即为罗田。站在山脚仰望,延绵不绝的群山,或奇或怪,或陡或险,耳边时有潺潺的水声,啾啾的鸟鸣,犹入“水穷云起”之境。立于寨顶,长风扑面,云雾缭绕,眼前的茫茫林海突又不见,忽然想到有诗云:“脚底飘飘云似海,只疑身在小蓬莱。”
