大同煤矿集团轩岗煤电有限责任公司组建于2002年7月,前身为原轩岗矿务局,属国家大型二类煤炭企业。公司位于山西省原平市西北部,矿区井田面积为91平方公里,地质储量8.1亿吨。主要商品煤种为三分之一焦煤、气煤,是优质的动力煤和炼焦煤。现有四对生产矿井,矿井核定能力441万吨,并拥有年入洗能力30万吨的洗煤厂。公司地理位置优越,北同蒲铁路、大运公路横穿矿区,交通便利。目前,公司已形成了以煤为主导产业,火力发电、化工生产、汽车货运、建筑安装、机电修理、建材、制氧、制件、印刷、林业等多业并举,综合配套。协调、健康、可持续发展的格局。公司重组以来,致力于改革发展稳定。实现了脱胎换骨式的成功跨跃。原煤产量三年跨上了三个新台阶,2004年达320万吨,创造了建矿50年最高纪录。各生产厂、公司、经营网点基本上实现了扭亏为盈,经济运行质量显著提高。综采综掘设备、瓦斯监测系统等技术装备落户矿山,机械化水平和安全保障程度大幅提升。文教卫生全面复兴,文化体育活动精彩纷呈,精神文明建设蓬勃开展,广大员工家属的生存环境和生活水平得到了较大改善。
