后殖民生态批评不仅关注人与自然、物种之间以及种族之间的关系,而且将视野扩展到种族主义、生态正义,并批判帝国主义,最终实现自然生态和精神生态全面的和谐统一。小说向读者描述了白人20世纪30年代在非洲大陆的殖民扩张。小说中人与自然、人与物、人与人之间复杂而紧密的关联在生态批评的全新视域下得以呈现,反映了以“人类中心主义”为指导、男权制度为基石的生态理念对整体生态环境以及人类精神生态的践踏,体现了作家的生态正义观。
Post-colonial ecocriticism not only focuses on the relationship between man and nature, between species and races, but also expands its vision to racism, ecological justice and criticizes imperialism, finally realizing the complete harmony and unification of natural ecology and spiritual ecology. The novel describes to readers the colonial expansion of whites in the African continent in the 1930s. The complicated and close connection between human beings and nature, human beings and things, and human beings can be seen in the new perspective of ecocriticism in the novel, reflecting the “paranocence” as the guide and the patriarchal foundation as the cornerstone Ecological concept of the overall ecological environment and the trampling of human spiritual ecology, embodies the writer’s ecological justice.
