6月25日下午,应上海实验动物研究会邀请,美国著名实验动物学家徐兆光教授与上海实验动物学界、医药界30多位代表在科学会堂举行了座谈会。徐兆光介绍了近年来国际上有关实验动物学的一些新进展,并针对我国具体情况,与到会人士切磋谈心,共商大计。归纳如下; (1)实验动物工作者与动物实验科研人员之间的交流至关重要当前国内还有不少高级科研人员对实验动物科学这一学科的重要性了解甚少,我们有责任进行积极宣传,与有关科研人员建立广泛的联系,协助他们进一步了解各品种、品系实验动物的特点和用途,使之在进行动物实验时善于选择。例如,美国卫生部规定,每年必须对科研人员举办一次专业讲习班。 (2)人材培养必须持之以恒要充分发挥高校的
