In celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and the United States, we must not forget that the former U.S. President Nixon was the icebreaker trip in February 1972 that declared the end of the long-standing isolation and hostilities between China and the United States. On the 1st officially established diplomatic relations laid a good foundation. Born on January 9, 1913 in California, USA, Richard Nixon served in the Navy during the Second World War and entered the political arena after the war, serving twice as the vice president.
