The Bund in Shanghai has the foundations and first-floor walls of many high-rise buildings built using granite. Many villa-style buildings in Qingdao also use a lot of stone materials. The railway administration of Dagang Street in Nangang, Harbin has tens of thousands of square meters of square-shaped four-story office buildings. From the bottom up, except for the roof, they are all made of stones and are called “big stone houses”. Over the past half a century, these stone buildings have experienced years of wind, rain, and snow, proving that they are sturdy, beautiful, insulated, and soundproofed. Therefore, rock is an ideal building material that can save energy, soil, and can replace cement and bricks. At present, the social clubs that have natural rock resources in rural areas in China should give full play to their advantages in labor. Under the premise of not destroying mineral resources, large-scale development of the quarrying industry is both beneficial and useful.
