General Dynamics UK has completed 50% of the Critical Design Review (CDR) for the UK Army’s Special Purpose Vehicles (SV) program and is expected to complete critical design reviews for all models by 2013, with the first to be completed by Defense Motor Scout Support Vehicle (PMRS). After completing the critical design review, the first three pre-production reconnaissance vehicles will begin production in Spain. This will be followed by a repair car and a rescue car, both of which will be completed by the end of 2015. The maneuver test platform (MTR) for a dedicated vehicle, based on the PMRS model, initially weighs 34 tonnes and has now been increased to 38 tonnes and will increase to 42 tonnes in the future.
