“中山青”食荚豌豆又称甜咔嚓豌豆,是我所1980年从美国引进的甜荚豌豆经筛选培育而成。具有豆荚肥厚多汁、纤维少、可食荚、营养成分高等优点,同时,它的茎杆草质好,因此是值得推广的优良蔬菜和饲料绿肥兼用品种。现在南京种植百余亩,可完全作留种田。一、形态特征本种株高160—220厘米,羽状复叶,叶色绿,小叶长卵形,长5.4厘米,宽2.8厘米。托叶大,卵形,长8.1厘米,宽4.3厘米,基部耳状包围叶柄。叶腋抽花轴,花白色,单生或双生。荚果弯月形,长6—7厘米,宽1.3—1.5厘米,厚0.9厘米,成熟时豆荚褐黄色,每荚种子4—7粒,色绿而绉缩,百粒重22.5克。
