小学地理是向学生进行爱国主义教育的重要学科。我们应努力挖掘教材中的爱国主义教育因素,有机地结合地理知识的教学,使祖国辽阔的疆域,富饶的物产,风光绮丽的山川,飞速发展的建设事业,都化为爱国主义思想的甘露沁入学生的心田。怎样有机地结合课本中的地理知识向学生进行爱国主义教育呢?一般可采用“强化知识”的方法。所谓“强化知识”,通常是指密切结合课文中心和新的实际情况进行必要的补充。为什么要这样做呢?因为学生预习课文以后,教师如若仍然照本宣科,就必然会使学生感到淡然寡味,吸引不了学生的注意,激发不了学生的兴趣,形成不了浓厚的课堂气氛,拨动不了学生的心弦,因而收不到应有的效果。
