在伟大的抗美援朝运动和爱国主义的热潮之中,我全省人民紧张地、胜利地度过了一九五一年。在过去的一年当中,我们严厉地镇压了反革命,取缔了一贯道,摧毁了帝国主义直接操纵的反动组织——圣母军,进一步巩固了人民民主专政。在过去的一年当中,我们在工业方面,基本上完成了民主改革的补课工作,整顿了工人阶级的队伍,出现了许多模范人物,出现了全国第一架自制截煤机。在过去的一年当中,全省广大农村,以李顺达为首,掀起了爱国丰产的竞赛运动,出现了曲耀离、邵双合等大批的丰产模范;出现了比互助组更为先进的农业生产合作社。在过去的一年当中,有一百多万农民进入了常年民校,百分之七十以上的产业工人进入了业余文化补习学校。全省普遍建立了党的宣传纲,并出现了大批的模范宣传员,大大地发挥了「爱国公约」的作用,创造了「爱国日」的优良制度,因而使各种工作都与政治斗争任务紧密地结合在一起。无疑的,过去的一年当中,全省人民在政治上、经济上和文化上都有了很大的提高。我们要在这个基础上向前迈进。

In the past year, we have basically completed the remedial work on democratic reforms in the industrial field, rectified the working-class ranks, emerged many model personalities, and emerged the country’s first self-made coal cutter. In the past year, the vast rural areas in the province led by Li Shun-da set off a contest of patriotic bumper harvests with a large number of model high-yielding models such as Qu Ya-Yao and Shao Shuanghe. More advanced agricultural cooperatives emerged than the mutual aid groups. Over the past year, more than 1 million peasants have entered perennial civilian schools and more than 70 percent of industrial workers have entered the amateur cultural tuition schools. The province has established a broad program of propaganda for the party and a large number of model promoters. It has greatly played the role of “patriotic convention” and created a fine system of “patriotic day,” thus making all kinds of work a task of political struggle Closely together.
