下面是江苏省句容县某中学教师王××来信,她以她自己的孩子吴×的事例,提出培养教育青年工人的重要性。对青年工人的教育,党中央、国务院曾经指示:“职工教育是开发智力、培养青年人才的重要途径,是持续发展国民经济的可靠保证,它同现代化建设的成效有极其密切的关系”。国家对培养教育青年工人提到很高的程度来认识;但是我们有些公路部门的领导对青年养路工人的培养教育的重要意义认识不足,没有把这项工作放在应有的重要位置,以致发生像此信所写的情况。要知道不重视对青年工人的培养教育,实际上也是不重视生产。如果没有一支既有公路技术,又有思想纯正,克苦耐劳作风的队伍,是不可能做好公路工作的,公路的现代化只能是一句空话。所以对青年工人的培养教育问题,应该引起各级公路部门领导的重视。
