近几年,为了适应快节奏社会和一些相关政策,市面上出现了不少学生版的中外名著。较之原版,学生版名著的篇幅至少减少一半以上。以2014年中国文联出版社出版的“新悦读之旅丛书”为例,学生版的《呼啸山庄》是12万字,而全译版有23.7万字;《堂吉诃德》全译版是82万字,学生版是15万字;最厉害的是《悲惨世界》,由121.5万字缩减到24万字!这些惊人的缩减,到底减掉了什么?有的是删掉了章节。如《堂吉诃德》全本为126章,

Compared with the original version, the student version of the classics at least reduce the length of more than half.
