黄公略,是与朱德、毛泽东、彭德怀齐名的红军将领(联称“朱毛彭黄”)。自1931年9月15日在江西吉安东固六渡坳,黄公略牺牲后,毛泽东等领导人就十分挂念他在家乡湖南湘乡桂花树高模冲留下的妻子刘玉英和小女黄岁新,多次派人寻找刘玉英母女。直到湖南解放前夕,通过地下党才找到他们,并送往北京。这件事的始末未曾批露过。笔者有幸找到当年寻找、护送黄夫人和女儿的地下党员黄定平等人,得以揭开这段未有人知的密闻。
