一、为何要加强数学应用意识和能力的培养1.数学应用意识与能力的培养是教学大纲的要求。《全日制普通高中数学教学大纲》(试验修订本)对数学作了如下的解释:“数学是研究空间形式和数量关系的科学,数学能够处理数据、观测资料,进行计算、推理和证明,可提供自然现象和社会系统的数学模型。”这就决定了数学不仅是从事生产、生活、学习、研究的基础,而且是一门解决实际问题的工具。数学的学习目的之一,就是培养学生解决实际问题的能力,
