李新田,1995年担任广西天峨县林朵林场场长,当时正值全国木材市场疲软,而林场林产品单一,抗市场风险能力低。全场年经济总收入2508.76万元,职工年人均收入仅6806.33元。李新田率新一届领导班子,形成了新的管理机制,不断适应社会主义市场经济要求,确立了“以人为本、以林为主、深化改革、调整结构、科技兴场、综合开发、多种经营、全面发展”的经营理念。他们与时俱进,成功地进行了四次改革,调动了职工发展自营经济的积极性;下大力气全面推进森林资源培育和林种结构调整工作,有效增强了林场资源后劲;向场外承租荒山、荒坡扩大造林面积,现已在场外大面积营造速丰桉8300多亩;在第二、三产业上,由当初单一的木材粗加工发展到今天的餐饮服务业、宾馆、加油站、液化气站、木材深精新加工、种植养殖业等多业并举,成为林场重要经济增长点,极大缓解了经济增长对森林资源的压力。经过全场1000多名职工共同努力,2005年实现全场经济总收入3088.2万元,与1995年同比增长了579.44万元,职工年人均经济收入1.38万元,与1995年同比翻了一番,使林场成为综合实力较强的地方国有林场。先后荣获“全国精神文明建设工作先进单位”和“全国林业系统先进集体”等称号。2006年荣获第四届全国十大国有林场管理奖。
