1品种来源及选育经过陕科6号是宝鸡迪兴农业科技有限公司以自选系dx35为母本、自选系dx32作父本于2006年在公司眉县玉米试验站内杂交组配育成的高淀粉玉米新品种。2008～2009年参加陕西省夏玉米区域试验,2009年参加陕西省夏玉米生产试验。2010年4月通过陕西省农作物品种审定委员会审定,审定编号为:陕审玉2010006号。适宜陕西省关中夏玉米区种植。
