西安市阿房区每年早春播种的蔬菜面积较大,尤其以潘家村公社的五一、综合生产队,对栽培春小菜最有经验。他们栽培春小菜的种类很多,其中以小白菜、大青菜、野鸡红萝卜的播种面积为最大。春小菜的特点是:比较耐寒,播种早,生长期短,上市早,继过冬菜之后于四月上旬开始供应市场,对于解决四、五月份市场蔬菜淡季的供应问题,有很重要的作用。同时,春小菜收获之后,不影响瓜菜类、果菜类的栽培,并能与其它作物套种、间作,增加每亩地的复种指数,提高单位面积产量,经济价值很大。
