China imported 202,000 tons of wool in the first seven months of this year,up 26.8% on the same period of last year,the General Administration of Customs said on September 20. The imports were valued at US$1.13 billion,up 61%,or US$5,619 per ton on average,up 27%.Of the total imports, 128,000 tons,or 63.5%,came from Australia.up 20.3%.The European Union supplied 14,000 tons,up 90.7%.
