由于自然或人工的长期选择,在辽宁省许多地区,生长着许多具有明显增益的小叶杨与钻天杨间的地方杂种——统称小钻杨(Populus×xiaozhuanica W.Y.Hsu et Liang),仅1982年,由辽宁省林业厅和辽宁省杨树委员会,组织复查认定为省级小钻杨优树的,即达近20种。为了掌握这些优良无性系的生育特性、适生地区及其与外界环境条件的关系,除了开展全省性的区域栽培试验外,我们于1976年在我所圃地,系统地观察了这些无性系
Due to the long-term natural or artificial selection, many local hybrids of Populus × Populus × Populus × Populus × Populus × Populus × Populus × × ×iaozhuanica; Populus × xiaozhuanica WYHsu et Liang grew abundantly in many areas of Liaoning Province. Only in 1982, Forestry Department of Liaoning Province and Liaoning Provincial Committee of Poplar, organized re-examination identified as provincial small drill Yang You tree, that is nearly 20 species.
