Combining scanning tunneling microscope (STM) with electron spectrometer is one of the ways to realize surface micro-elemental analysis.We combine the ring electron energy analysis instrument and the three-dimensional scanning probe system to establish a scanning probe electron spectroscopy (SPEES) .Through measuring the energy loss spectrum of the Au surface excited by the near-field emission beam at the tip, we studied the plasmon excitation phenomenon of the Au atom.Furthermore, by changing the tip-sample distance, we studied the Au plasmon The relationship between the intensity ratio of the peak and the elastic scattering peak as a function of tip-to-tip distance changes.The result shows that the relationship between the intensity ratio and the tip-tip distance is not a monotonous change, but exists at a specific location
