地级市组建以来,亳州市高度重视教育,坚持教育优先发展,加大教育投入力度。2008年,市委、市政府大手笔启动南部新区建设,同时把学校建设纳入新区规划,相继投入近8亿元资金建设总规划占地1680余亩的亳州师专、亳州一中南校区等五所新校。五校新校区已于今年9月1日同时交付使用,这是亳州教育加快发展的一个缩影。
