The informationalization of social life and the globalization of economy make the importance of English increasingly prominent. As one of the most important information carriers, English has become the most widely used language in all fields of human life. This paper mainly discusses the necessity of extracurricular reading in junior middle school English novels and the practices and reflections on extracurricular reading activities.
