慢性病毒感染很普遍,并且对抗病毒疗法没有应答。用疫苗治疗这类感染是一种新设想,生殖器疱疹是良好的研究模型。本文作者研究了2型单纯疱疹病毒（HSV-2）重组糖蛋白D(gD2）疫苗对生殖器疱疹患者发病频率的影响。
Chronic virus infections are common and do not respond to anti-viral therapies. Vaccination for this type of infection is a new idea and genital herpes is a good research model. The authors investigated the effect of the HSV-2 recombinant glycoprotein D (gD2) vaccine on the incidence of genital herpes in patients.
