The different effects of photoperiod, semi-dwarf and mandarin genes on agronomic traits in wheat depend on the environmental conditions. There is very little information on Canadian prairies in this regard. The purpose of this experiment was to determine the effects of these genes on wheat under long-day and short-term Saskatchewan conditions and to determine the best combination of traits.
