长岛县水产研究所承担的“魁蚶自然海区采苗技术研究”项目,经两年系统的试验研究,目前通过省科委组织的鉴定。魁蚶是一种双壳类的大型埋栖贝类,其味道鲜美,营养丰富,经济价值极高,也是出口创汇的拳头产品,其产品在日本市场一直供不应求。近年由于捕捞过度,魁蚶自然资源近于枯竭,因此,恢复这项资源,开展人工底播增殖是今后发展水产业的一个重要措施。为解决人工增养殖所需的苗种,国内目前已进行了室内人工育苗研究,长岛县水产研究所于1991年开始进行的魁蚶自然海区采苗,也是解决苗种问题的一个重要途径。

Kui is a large bivalve shellfish species, its delicious, nutritious, high economic value, but also the leading export-earning products, its products in the Japanese market has been in short supply. In recent years, as a result of overfishing, Kuihu’s natural resources are almost depleted. Therefore, resuming this resource and carrying out artificial bottom sowing are an important measure to develop the aquatic industry in the future. In order to solve the problem of artificial seedling breeding, domestic artificial seedling research has been carried out in China at present. The acquisition of seedlings from Kuihu natural sea area started in 1991 by the Institute of Fisheries of Changdao County is also an important way to solve the seedling problem.
