新文化运动是推动中国社会转型的思想文化更新活动。她滥觞于19世纪30年代,直至今天仍在持续。思想、文化、学术没有国界,高瞻远瞩的爱国者,必然冲破一切阻力,站在文明发展的最前列,吸收一切先进文化,为推动本国社会进步服务。文章不但回顾了从1830年代迄今的新文化运动发展五个阶段的内容,还对包括英法启蒙和革命的异同等当前学术界争论的多个问题提出自己的一家之言。全文力求陈言务去,坦率陈述己见。
The new cultural movement is an ideological and cultural renewal that promotes the social transformation in China. She started in the 1830s and continues today. The patriots who have no national boundaries in their thinking, culture, and are far-sighted must inevitably break through all obstacles and stand at the forefront of the development of civilization and absorb all advanced cultures in order to promote their social progress. The article not only reviews the five stages of the development of the New Culture Movement from the 1830s to the present, but also puts forward its own opinions on many issues including the similarities and differences between English and French enlightenment and the revolution.
