一、文学史研究的科学方法论的自觉追求意识:“史识” 就一个学科发展的意义上来看,王瑶先生的《中国新文学史稿》,是现代文学史的开山之作,具有奠基性的价值;就个人的学术道路来看,我以为先生的《中古文学史论》一书,更能够代表他的水平和功力。《中古文学史论》不仅在一个学科的研究中有着里程碑的意义,更重要的是这本书于科学方法论方面的实践,在近代学术史上是非常值得我们重视的。我在这里无意判断这两本书的价值,我只想围绕《中古文学史论》,探讨一下王瑶先生在文学史研究领域中思考和实践现代的科学的实证精神和方法的一些努力,并望能够从中得到一些现实的启示。
I. Hope to get some realistic inspiration.
