我省自一九六三年开始铺筑沥青(渣油)表面处治路面,至一九六六年以前,全省仅有沥青(渣油)路面(以下简称油路)442公里,无产阶级文化大革命以来,油路修建速度发展较快,到今年六月底,全省共有油路12200多公里。占通车里程33776公里的36%,省地、县油路网已基本形成。特别从1975年以来,采取民办公助修建县社公路中通往公社的油路,调动了公社的积极性,发展速度就更快些。在县社公路中现已有油路2300多公里,使940个公社通了油路,占公社总数2008个的45%。
