The article recommended by Tsai in this issue is a dialogue between CharlesEsche, curator of the Van Nabbe Art Museum and a curator of the de Appel 2008/2009 project. Dialogue is ostensibly about the tendency of curatorial education, or is it confronted with the question of whether contemporary art “understands” or “does not understand”? Many well-known concepts such as “liberation”, “modernism and His legacy ”“ criticism of capitalism and individualism ”“ non-knowledge ”and so on, are mentioned one by one. What is most interesting, however, is Charles Ehru’s talk about his personal transition from politics to art’s “flash of light” and the face of a “packaged” future when we have all kinds of reasons together Therefore, the question I raised during this issue is: If contemporary art is a kind of individual or group encounter, it seems that we have no choice in entering this industry. Can curtailing make a difference?
