尊老与敬老是中国传统社会礼制的重要内容,至清代,统治者仍是这一传统儒家礼制的倡导者和实践者。清政府的优老之政形式多样,既有成文形式的制度安排,也有一些临时之举。在统治者的倡导和示范下,清代的尊老优老礼制在地方上得到了有效地实践,并成为指导和规范当地民众日常行为的一个重要伦理准则。
Respecting the elderly and respecting the elderly are important parts of the traditional Chinese social system of rites. By the Qing dynasty, the rulers were still advocates and practitioners of this traditional Confucian courtesy. There are many forms of government for elders and elders in the Qing government, both in institutional arrangements in written form and in some temporary measures. Under the advocacy and demonstration of the rulers, the elder care system in the Qing Dynasty has been effectively practiced on the local level and has become an important ethical guideline for guiding and regulating the daily behavior of local people.
