沙洋汉江大桥位于汉江下游江汉平原,桥位处地质为松散的第四纪沉积层,厚达160~170米。河床表面为厚约20~30米的砂及砂卵石层,其下为粘土、砂、亚砂土及砂卵石的互相交错沉积层,并夹有少数坚硬砂岩薄层。 通航主孔上部构造为7孔104米预应力T型刚构,中间挂梁跨径为30米。下部结构基础由于冲刷深,地基承载力低,而必须埋置在施工水位30米以下的卵石层上,并以沉井基础较为适宜。但因沉井下沉深度过大,下沉时如何克服摩擦阻力就成了基础工程的关键。
Shayang Hanjiang River Bridge is located in the lower reaches of the Hanjiang Jianghan Plain, the bridge is located in a loose geological Quaternary sediments, thickness of 160 to 170 meters. The surface of the riverbed is sand and gravel, which is about 20 to 30 meters thick, with interlaced layers of clay, sand, sub-sand and sand and gravel interspersed with a few hard sandstones. The upper part of the navigation main hole is constructed of 7 holes of 104 meters of prestressed T-shaped rigid frame with a span of 30 meters in the middle. Due to the scouring depth and the low foundation bearing capacity, the substructure foundation must be buried on the pebble layer below the construction water level of 30 meters and the caisson foundation should be suitable. However, due to excessive sinkhole sinking depth, sinking how to overcome the friction resistance has become the key to the foundation of the project.
