青岛市车辆制造厂在0.5吨碱性侧吹转炉上进行了预热鼓风强化冶炼的试验,效果很好,克服了小转炉散热快、出钢温度较难控制的缺陷。目前已在全市许多转炉上开始推广。该厂采用的热风炉是经修改后的“八九”式管式热风炉,有效热交换面积为75平方米,炉条面积为720毫米×2300毫米=1.65平方米,耗煤量为0.79~0.92吨/平方米·昼夜。根据测定,风温一般在300~400℃,最高达432℃。转炉用42立方米/分的罗茨式鼓风机一台,电动机功率为55瓩。为了克服热风管道阻力的增加,把风机转速由480转/分增加到600转/分。热风转炉必须考虑空心耳轴受热后的机械强度和变形,以及轴承润滑等问题。目前该厂采用的耳轴装置如图1。采用这种装置后,炉体只能在280度范围内运转,对烘炉等操作有一定的妨碍。为了避免这个缺点,可以考虑用绝热的办法解决,如图2。
