小说是在相应的环境描写基础上,通过一定的故事情节,刻画具有典型性的人物形象。其目的在于反映社会生活,表达作者感悟,这样,它的内容就有具象(人物、情节、环境)与意象(情感、理念)两个层面。
The novel is based on the corresponding description of the environment, through a certain story, depicts a typical character image. Its purpose is to reflect the social life and express the author’s sentiment. In this way, its content has two levels: the image (people, plot, environment) and the image (emotion, idea).
