The histological and testosterone levels of testis in Ranatemporariachensinensis David collected from Liaoning and Jilin during the breeding season were tested. The results showed that in the period of reproductive activities, sperm maturation was periodic, the changes of serum testosterone levels and structural changes experienced by the gonads are consistent, pre-natal serum testosterone levels reached the peak
