1994年10月14日12时许,在318国道黄州溢流河西单800米的上坡处,黄冈地区汽车运输总公司黄州客运公司的一部客车驶出公路,坠下10多米的深沟,造成14人受伤(包括司机本人),车辆严重损坏的重大交通事故。事故原因是由于一条2米长的大花蛇从卖蛇旅客的行走袋中钻出,车厢内顿时一片混乱,蛇在卖蛇人的追捕下由车厢跑进驾驶室,用尾巴缠住驾驶员的小腿,头伸向驾驶员的胸部,司机被这突如其来的蛇吓得惊慌失措,方向失控,客车因而翻下山沟。事故虽然发生了一段时间,但我们应不忘前车之覆,后车之鉴,警钟长鸣,从这件事故中找出原因,吸取教训,本人认为可从以下几个方面反省,供同行参考。
