2011年3月,由北京今日美术馆携手瑞信主办、《东方艺术·大家》杂志承办的“瑞信·2011今日艺术奖”(CREDIT SUISSE Today Art Award 2011)评选正式启动。今日艺术奖是国内首个由美术馆设立的当代艺术奖项,每年向一位具有创新贡献的艺术家授予该奖。从2010年起今日美术馆将与瑞信建立为期三年的战略合作伙伴关系,在此期间,瑞信是今日美术馆唯一的金融机构战略合作伙伴。该奖项致力于鼓励中国优秀艺术家的创造性尝试,力求推动公众对当代中国视觉艺术发展的关注和讨论,带动公共领域对当代视觉艺术的理解和认知。针对本次奖项的评选,本刊对“瑞信·2011今日艺术奖”的几位推荐委员进行了采访。
In March 2011, the “Today Art Award 2011” hosted by Today Art Museum of Beijing jointly organized by Credit Suisse and “Art of the East” magazine was officially launched. Today’s Art Prize is the first contemporary art award in China to be set up by the Museum of Art, and is awarded annually to an artist who has made an innovation contribution. Today Art Museum will set up a three-year strategic partnership with Credit Suisse in 2010. During this period, Credit Suisse is the only strategic partner of Today’s Art Museum in financial institutions. The award is dedicated to encouraging creative endeavors by outstanding Chinese artists and arousing public concern and discussion on the development of contemporary Chinese visual arts so as to bring about public understanding and recognition of contemporary visual arts. In response to the selection of this award, the magazine interviewed several recommended members of the “Credit Suisse · 2011 Today Art Award”.
