This article attempts to obtain the quantitative relationship between the change in blowing parameters (the position of the nozzle above the bath, the oxygen pressure and the nozzle diameter) and the efficiency with which the liquid metal directly absorbs oxygen. In order to determine this relationship, the laboratory test data of phosphorus-bearing pig iron oxygen blowing method was applied. Oxygen is blown into the bath through a water-cooled nozzle with a cylindrical nozzle. The pressure of oxygen varies from 4 to 14 atmospheres.
