The National Building Materials Bureau has recently formulated the “Work Plan for Strengthening Cooperation with the Ministry of Construction” and proposed that it will jointly develop new products with the Ministry of Construction to meet the growing market demand. In the future, roofing materials should be developed in the direction of waterproofing, heat preservation, heat insulation, and multi-purposes, and at the same time achieve the goal of beautifying the urban environment. By the year 2000, the output of heat-insulating and sound-insulating new materials should reach 1.08 million tons, 2010
