Individuals with chromosomal instability and fragility have a higher risk of cancer. Such individuals can produce unbalanced gametes, resulting in chromosomal abnormalities in their offspring. This article describes an example of a girl with malformation syndrome due to unbalanced t (2; 22). Although there is no hereditary rearrangement, this abnormality may originate from the father, a multi-characteristic karyotype unstable tumor predisposition.
