The random block design method was used to study the effects of sowing date, planting density and fertilizer amount on the yield and the main economic characters of pearl sorghum. The optimum planting techniques for autumn sorghum were as follows: sowing date was before July 20, every 6 6 Six hundred and seventy-seven plants were planted with 6-7m2, N15.6 kg, P2 O57.8 kg and K218 kg were applied.
