When users choose the cabling system, they often make the following demands: on the one hand, to maintain a low network cost; on the other hand, to ensure that the constructed network system can meet the requirements of future application development. Today, the answer often hovers between unshielded twisted pair (UTP) and multimode fiber systems. There is currently no clear answer to this question. Most network systems that use mixed voice and data applications require a hybrid system of copper and fiber to achieve the best price / performance ratio. Unshielded (UTP) is undoubtedly the best choice for traditional voice and fax services; however, it becomes more complicated for data applications. For LAN systems, High Performance Category 5 UTP delivers up to 155 Mbps network throughput while achieving the lowest initial installation costs
