From 1976 to 1980 five years, 58 cases of full-term newborn after birth due to asphyxia cerebral ischemia, hypoxia-induced spasm prognosis were followed up and discussed. Of these, 14 died in the neonatal period and 26 had significant sequelae. According to the authors, the prognosis is based on the number of days spasticity persists and the age at which oral ingestion begins. Spasm lasts 3 to 7 days or more than 7 days to have a poor prognosis. Neonatal EEG with or without abnormalities, the development and prognosis of little. However, significant abnormal EEG, more common in children with severe disorders, while abnormal EEG can be complicated by epilepsy. Therefore, the analysis of neonatal EEG depends not only on whether there is abnormal EEG, but also to analyze in detail the abnormal situation. EEG abnormalities is an indicator of epilepsy diagnosis. Brain CT findings such as brain parenchyma with mild and severe low density can predict the prognosis, and moderate low density to determine the prognosis.
