义务教育初中英语教材已于1993年9月开始实施,经过四年来的实践,新教材教学已基本步入正轨,并取得了一定的成绩,但是还存在着诸多问题,其中以下几点尤为突出:一是教学设施一时跟不上.许多学校由于种种原因,未能配齐新教材教学过程中所必需的教具及有关其他硬件.据初步统计,1996年以来能为每一名初一外语教师配备一台录音机、一套磁带、一套挂图的学校还不到20%,而能为部分班级配齐全套电化教具的在全县仅有一所中学.
The junior middle school English textbooks for compulsory education have been implemented since September 1993. After four years of practice, the teaching of new materials has basically entered the right track and has achieved certain results. However, there are still many problems, among which the following are particularly prominent: First, the teaching facilities could not keep up for a while. Many schools failed to complete the teaching aids and other hardware necessary for the teaching of new textbooks for various reasons. According to preliminary statistics, since 1996, every junior English teacher has been able to be equipped. A school with a tape recorder, a set of tapes, and a set of wall charts is less than 20%. However, only one secondary school in the county can provide a complete set of electrified teaching aids for some classes.
