工笔人物画有悠久的历史和优良的传统,它的绘画表现形式有着浓厚的群众基础,也反映了中华民族的审美要求。陈治和武欣的《儿女情长》以生活化的场景为题材,描绘了外地归家探望父母的儿女与亲人团聚的生活场面,画面构图严谨,疏密有度,虚实相生,贯穿着一种气韵,彰显出画家的功力。画家随类赋彩,并通过同类色、补色的主观调控,使画面更加的和谐自然。这幅画在线条的处理上十分巧妙,对物体形态的把握和变化勾画的栩栩如生。它的成功之处除了画面的经营上,还在于具有很强的时代性,反映了当今社会人们心中的普遍愿望。现在的工笔画坛中,百家争鸣。陈治、武欣的画似乎更加的遵循传统,使得画作更显得沉稳、庄重、柔和,少了些虚浮的繁华和功利,这在现在的社会中其实是难能可贵的。
