对４年生元帅苹果幼树根施多效唑（ＰＰ３３３），可有效地抑制生长，促进成花，减少越冬抽条。以施后第２年效果最明显，根施１５ｇ／株和２０ｇ／株，新梢生长量分别下降４４．８％和５４．１％，成花率提高２１．２％和２５．２％；幼树越冬能力提高，抽条率和抽条指数分别下降６２．５％～８７．４％和５０．３％～７４．９％。适宜时期是新梢长度约１０ｃｍ（５月下旬）。
